You Matter
I am Gulsum Bor owner of Studio RUUMI. I have over 10 years experience as an entrepreneur and interior designer. I have followed my training at the Academy Artemis in Amsterdam where I specialized in biophilic design. I was always fascinated by interior and design, but it became more serious when I decided to make my passion into my work. From an early age I was fascinated by looking at patterns, thinking about how something that has a function had come about in the first place. Or how much time and energy it must have taken to achieve the ultimate end result and what kind of feeling it evokes in everyone. The evolution of an object or of an idea, that had to be very special. In my designs I therefore always go for something magical, indescribable and at the same time very familiar.
When I visit a museum or travel to distant places, then I can completely wander off and find myself in my mind in another time with myself as the main character. This feeling of happiness I also want for my clients. In your search for the true identity of an interior, I can help realize your dream home. Put yourself in the leading role in the heart of your home, in your own safe environment where you can retreat and can make your mark. My style is distinctive, I love clear lines, love functional interiors with a nod to luxury. My advice is therefore: Less is more. I provide my clients with harmony in colors, add surprising patterns in the interior and do something different than others and always look for the limits. I use a lot of textiles in my designs because it feels warm and finishes off the space beautiful off. Earthy tones in combination with natural materials such as wood, glass and handicraft is often a recurring aspect. Don't compromise on dreams!
